What is liberatory coaching?

"Coaching for Healing, Justice and Liberation seeks to uncover and rediscover traditional and adaptive ways of living out our value systems of expansiveness and liberation for collective healing. We do this in a way that leans into the innate resilience and traditional wisdom of the cultures of our participants."

Do you want transformational leadership coaching?

I am certified through CHJL’s Liberatory Coaching Certification Program.

  • About the CHJL Certification Program

The Liberatory Coaching Certification Program is a 9-month professional coaching certification training for BIPOC social justice movement leaders who are committed to learning coaching skills for individual and collective liberation.

I was a part of the 2022-2023 cohort. Check out Love Letter to the Movement by CHJL creators Sarah Jawaid and Damon Azali-Rojas for more about this coaching approach.

  • What can you expect from coaching with me?

Coaching is designed to support you to connect to your highest self and deepest purpose in your leadership development journey. As a coach, I am here to deeply listen to you and center your learning, not mine. I commit to asking meaningful questions, weaving in creativity, and holding space for you to access your own wisdom.

I currently have limited availability for new coach partners. I would love to work with folks who hold marginalized identities and are interested in biweekly or monthly sessions with me.

    Schedule a Complimentary First Session

Are you interested in becoming a coach partner? Schedule time with me to explore whether we would be a good fit for coaching!

During our first call, we will get to know each other, set expectations, and discuss structure. We will also have time for a complimentary mini-coaching session so you can experience the approach.

If it feels like the right timing and the right partnership for us both, we can then discuss logistics and schedule additional sessions. Information on coaching fees and logistics is below.

Bartering/Exchange

Coaching has transformed my life and I want to make leadership coaching more accessible. I especially enjoy coaching with Black and brown folks, Muslim women, disabled people, and those seeking clarity around their own leadership and purpose.

If a specific fee will be a barrier for you, I have a system in place where we can barter services for coaching, especially if you’re local to Detroit.

Fee-Based Coaching

Coaching plays an important role in leadership journeys and professional development, whether you are a student, early in your career, or well-established. Check with your organization to see if they will cover all or part of the cost for sessions.

My coaching fees sit on a sliding scale. Payment is processed through PayPal or Venmo. I can also invoice you or your organization for other forms of payments.

Ready to get started?

Your first call with me will be 60 minutes. We’ll use my Calendly to schedule this session over phone or Zoom. This hour is complimentary so that you can see whether we’re the right fit and if now is the right time for us coaching together.

Note: I have limited availability for new coach partners so the wait time for a first session may be several weeks out.

Have we coached together before?

After we complete your first session, if you want to continue coaching together, we’ll land on a number of sessions and a cadence around how often we’ll meet. For existing coach partners, I have additional availability in the late afternoon and evening for a standard 60 minute session.
